These Terms & Conditions cover the Travel Now Android app (package com.travelintel.globe) and this website.

1. Agreement to Terms

By downloading, installing, accessing, or using Travel Now, you agree to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. If you do not agree to these terms, do not install or use the application or website.

2. Description of Service

Travel Now is a client-side travel intelligence and reference tool. The app works entirely offline and stores country-specific databases (covering details such as local regulations, wild camping rules, cannabis laws, emergency numbers, and key translation phrases) on your device.

3. Local-First & Privacy

We prioritize your privacy and autonomy. The app does not require a user account, sign-up, or log-in. All user preferences, favorites, and disclaimer accepts are stored directly on your physical device and are never uploaded to our servers.

4. Disclaimers & Accuracy of Information

The databases and guides provided within the app (including but not limited to wild camping regulations, cannabis legal status, and visa and entry requirements) are for informational purposes only and do not constitute legal, travel, immigration, safety, or professional advice.

• Laws, regulations, and travel safety directives change frequently and are subject to local enforcement interpretations.
• We do not warrant or guarantee the accuracy, completeness, currency, or reliability of any database entries.
• You accept sole responsibility for verifying all regulations with local authorities, signs, and official sources before engaging in any activities.

4a. Visa & Entry Requirements

The passport visa feature displays entry requirements for a nationality you select. It carries specific limitations you should understand before relying on it:

• It is a dated snapshot, not a live feed. Visa data is bundled with the app so it works offline, which means it is fixed at the time of release. The snapshot date is shown alongside every visa result. Entry policies can and do change between releases.
• Coverage is incomplete and says so. Where we do not hold data for a passport and destination pair, the app displays "no data" rather than an assumed answer. Absence of a restriction in the app is never evidence that no restriction exists.
• It reflects the passport you select, and nothing else. Results depend on the nationality you choose. Entry outcomes are also affected by your travel history, purpose of visit, onward tickets, passport validity, funds, and the discretion of border officials, none of which this app models.
• Tourism only. Data describes ordinary short-stay tourist entry. Work, study, residence, transit, and non-ordinary passports (diplomatic, service, emergency) follow different rules that are not covered.
• Verify before you book or travel. Only the destination government and your airline can confirm whether you may board and enter. Airlines verify electronic authorisations before boarding and will deny boarding without them.

Visa and entry data is derived from Wikipedia and is made available under CC BY-SA 4.0. Attribution is provided in the app's Open-Source Licenses screen.

5. Third-Party Services

As detailed in our Privacy Policy, the app operates offline by default but can make optional, user-initiated external connections:

• Google Translate (if you opt-in to translate page content)
• YouTube (if you explicitly confirm and play video guides)
• Cloudflare R2 CDN (to load country background images upon opening dashboards)

By using these optional features, you agree that your IP address and request metadata may be processed by these respective third-party providers.

6. Acceptable Use

You agree to use the app in compliance with all applicable local, national, and international laws. You must not attempt to reverse-engineer, modify, or disrupt the operation of the app, its assets, or its content-delivery systems.

7. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the developer of Travel Now shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits or revenues, whether incurred directly or indirectly, resulting from:

• Your access to or use of (or inability to access or use) the app or website;
• Any reliance placed by you on the completeness, accuracy, or existence of any information in the databases;
• Any legal issues, fines, arrests, or safety incidents arising from your travel decisions.

8. Intellectual Property

All code, designs, branding, original database compilations, and assets of Travel Now are the intellectual property of the developer. Bundled third-party open-source components and public dataset licenses are detailed in the app's Open-Source Licenses screen.

9. Subscriptions, Refunds & EU 14-Day Right of Withdrawal

Subscribing to Travel Now grants full access to all premium features, country dossiers, and intelligence updates.

• EU Statutory Right of Withdrawal: Under Directive 2011/83/EU, consumers residing in the European Union, EEA, or UK have a statutory right to cancel a digital subscription purchase within 14 days of purchase without giving any reason.
• Apple App Store Refunds (iOS): Purchases on iOS devices are processed and billed directly by Apple. EU users can request refunds or exercise their statutory right of withdrawal through Apple's official portal at reportaproblem.apple.com.
• Google Play Store Refunds (Android): Purchases on Android devices are processed and billed directly by Google Play. Refund requests within 48 hours can be submitted at Google Play Order History. EU residents exercising statutory withdrawal rights after 48 hours may contact support with their Google Play order ID (GPA.XXXX-XXXX-XXXX-XXXXX).
• Subscription Cancellation: You may cancel auto-renewal at any time via your iPhone Settings (Subscriptions) or Google Play Store (Payments & Subscriptions). Access remains active until the end of your current billing cycle.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify these Terms and Conditions at any time. When terms change, we will update the "Effective Date" at the top of this page. Your continued use of the app after such changes constitutes acceptance.
